Purpose of this guide

The main purpose of this Financial Services Guide (FSG) is to ensure you are given adequate information about the financial services being offered by HOST-PLUS Pty Limited.

It contains information about the services we offer you, how we are paid, any potential conflict of interest we may have, and our internal and external dispute resolution procedures and how you can access them. If you need more information or clarification of any matters raised in this document, please contact us.

A guide to our relationship with you

Who will be responsible for the financial services provided?

HOST-PLUS Pty Ltd (HOSTPLUS) is responsible for the financial services provided. HOSTPLUS (ABN 79 008 634 704) holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL No. 244392) and is a Registrable Superannuation Entity Licensee (RSEL No. L0000093).

What kind of financial services is HOSTPLUS authorised to provide me?

HOSTPLUS is authorised to provide a range of financial services. These include dealing in financial products and providing general advice and limited (intra-fund) personal advice under the Australian Securities and Investment Commission Class Order 09/210 (CO 09/210).

HOSTPLUS provides general advice on:

  • HOSTPLUS Superannuation Fund

  • HOSTPLUS Pension Plan

  • AUSfund Eligible Rollover Fund

  • Members Equity Bank products

HOSTPLUS provides limited (intra-fund) personal advice under ASIC Class Order CO 09/210 to its members only on HOSTPLUS Superannuation Fund.

How will I pay for the service?

HOSTPLUS receives member fees for managing the fund. These costs are set out in the HOSTPLUS Product Disclosure Statements and incorporation by reference information.

There are no additional fees for any general financial product or intra-fund advice you receive from us. However, your licensed financial adviser may charge you fees for providing financial product advice. This will be disclosed in a separate FSG provided by your licensed financial adviser. No fees are payable for referrals made to us.

How are our staff paid for providing the service?

Our staff are remunerated by salary only. They do not receive any commissions, fees or bonuses for the services provided to you.

Will you give me advice that is suitable to my personal investment needs and financial circumstances?

The advice that is provided to you is of a general nature does not take into account your particular investment objectives, financial situation or needs. Therefore, before you make an investment decision based on this advice, you need to consider, with or without the assistance of a licensed financial adviser, whether the advice is appropriate for your needs, objectives and financial circumstances.

However, if you have requested limited (intra-fund) personal advice, the advice provided will be limited to the products and arrangements within the fund for existing fund members, and will be based on the information which you provide. Any intra-fund advice will be provided in accordance with the ASIC Class Order CO 09/210.

You should obtain a copy of the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)and consider the information contained in it before making any decision about whether to acquire an interest in HOSTPLUS.

HOSTPLUS maintains Professional Indemnity insurance which covers the conduct of employees and Approved Representatives, including those who no longer work for HOSTPLUS but who did at the time of the relevant conduct.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

If you have any concerns or complaints about the service provided to you, you should take the following steps.

If you are not satisfied with our internal complaints resolution process or HOSTPLUS has not responded within 90 days for SCT matters or 45 days for Financial Ombudsman Services matters, you have the right to take your complaint to the following independent resolution body:
