Every year, many of the super funds in Australia get together for the annual ASFA (The Association of Superannuation Funds in Australia) conference.
While most people would hardly find the idea of attending a superannuation conference exciting, here at HOSTPLUS, we obviously do. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what everyone is doing to benefit members and employers and to catch up on the latest legislation, policies and innovations in the super industry.
Last week’s ASFA conference in Bris Vegas was an especially big one for us. We won not just one, but four of the ASFA Communications Awards which are provided to funds in recognition of outstanding marketing and communications.
Here's what we won them for:

Innovation of the year – for Cook for Your Career
Cook for your Career (C4YC) is a competition giving aspiring chefs the opportunity to work in some of Australia’s top restaurants. We won this award for the originality, relevance and execution of the campaign. We’re just happy that we helped a number of our finalists secure jobs in the industry of their dreams.

Best use of public relations – for Cook for Your Career
We attracted widespread publicity via the Cook for Your Career campaign. We won this award because the message pick-up in media was consistent and supportive of the campaign objectives and generated positive brand recognition.
It's also worth noting that C4YC recently won a highly acclaimed Asia-Pacific SABRE Award.
