Terms & Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter, collection of personal information and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.  Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2. The competition is known as the Hostplus – Nielsen Sports Research (The Competition).  The Competition will be promoted by Hostplus Pty Ltd ABN 79 008 634 704, AFSL No. 244392, RSEL No. L0000093, RSE No. R1000054, Level 9. 114 William Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 Ph: 1300 467 875 (The Promoter).
  3. The Competition will be promoted via an email to designated Hostplus members between 9am Monday 16th October and 11pm Friday 3rd November 2017 (Competition Period).
  4. The Competition is open to Hostplus members only who receive the email communication directly from Hostplus.  Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and companies associated with this promotion, including any prize providers, are ineligible to enter.
  5. To enter The Competition, entrants must click on the link provided in the email and complete the online Nielsen Sports survey during the Competition Period.  Incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible entries will be deemed invalid.  Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform The Promoter if their personal details change prior to the Winner Selection Date.  Entry is free.
  6. Entrants may only enter The Competition once.
  7. The prize to be won is a $200 Restaurant and Catering voucher (The Prize).  The prize only includes the voucher itself, any associated expenses – such as but not limited to travel to and from the restaurant – is at the expense of the Competition winner.  The Prize is valued at $200.
  8. Prize values are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of The Prize.  The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered.
  9. The Competition will be drawn at Level 8, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on Friday 1st December 2017 at 10.30am (Winner Selection Date). The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. If the winner cannot be contacted within three (3) months from The Winner Selection Date, another winner will be selected. The Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. Winners will be notified via email and a phone call on Friday 1st December 2017.  If the winner cannot be contacted within 3 months from The Winner Selection Date, another winner will be selected in accordance with clause 10.
  12. The Prize will be delivered to the winner by 31st January 2018.   
  13. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and for communication and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of providing The Prize(s). All entries become the property of The Promoter and may be used for communication and promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants consent to The Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as contemplated by this paragraph. By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing and communication purposes, they should contact The Promoter on the details set out in clause 2. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at includes details about how individuals can seek access to and correct their personal information and how they can make a privacy complaint.
  14. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with or breaches these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that The Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of The Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions or whom engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of The Competition.
  15. If The Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of The Promoter, The Promoter reserves the rights, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel The Competition as appropriate.
  16. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or The Prize(s) except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  17. NSW permit number LTPS/17/19778. No other states/territories require a permit number.
