AFL Women’s ‘Making our mark’ – Terms and Conditions 

  1. Information on how to enter, collection of personal information and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2. The competition is known as the AFL Women’s ‘Making our mark’ (The Competition). The Competition will be promoted by Hostplus Pty Ltd ABN 79 008 634 704, AFSL No. 244392, RSEL No. L0000093, RSE No. R1000054, Level 9. 114 William Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 Ph: 1300 467 875 (The Promoter).
  3. The Competition will be promoted via Hostplus campaign channels including: Hostplus website (, member and employer communications, online advertising, social media, websites and other relevant channels. Members who log onto their online Hostplus account (Member Online) between 10:00am AEST Tuesday 5th February 2019 until 3:00pm AEST Thursday 14th March 2019 (competition period) will be automatically entered.
  4. The Competition is open to all Hostplus members aged between 18 and 65 years of age who are Australian residents and log into their online Hostplus account (Hostplus Member Online) during the campaign period. Employees (and the families) of the promoter are ineligible to enter the competition.
  5. To enter The Competition, entrants must be existing Hostplus members and must log into their online Hostplus account (Hostplus Member Online) during the Competition period. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform The Promoter if their personal details change prior to the Winner Selection Date. Entry is free.
  6. Entrants may only enter The Competition once.
  7. There are 2 x prizes on offer for 2 people each. The prizes are the same and each winner will receive the following prize:

    2 x Return standard economy flights* (inclusive of all taxes)
    (Winners nearest domestic airport on an airline chosen by the Promoter. *From either Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne Airport- pending confirmation of AFLW Grand Final location)
    Valued up to $3,000
    Transfers to and from the winners nearest domestic airport. Valued up to $300
    2 nights’ accommodation, including breakfast on Friday 29th March – Sunday 31st March in either Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne 4* Hotel (minimum). Valued up to $800
    Meal for 2 adults (18+) on Friday 29th March and Saturday 30th March. Valued up to $200
    $200 Visa Prepaid Gift Card  
    2 X tickets to the AFL Women’s Grand Final on either Saturday 30th March or Sunday 31st March 2019 (venue city and time TBA by AFL) Match hospitality and Grand Final experience. Value $70 (Note: Game free entry)
    2 x AFL merchandise Value $100
    TOTAL value $4,670

    All other costs and expenses other than those set out above are to be borne by the winners.

    *Travel Dates: The winner must be available for travel on 29th March 2019 to 31st March 2019 inclusive.

  8. Prize values are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of The Prize(s). The Prize(s) is/are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered.
  9. In the event that the prize or part of the prize is unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various Lottery Departments.
  10. The Competition will be drawn at Promoter’s offices, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000 on 12:00pm AEST Wednesday 20th March 2019 (Winner Selection Date). The winners will be selected by a random electronic draw ( The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The winners will be notified by phone or in writing on Wednesday 20th March 2019. When the winners are notified, confirmation of closest airport for flight details and guest information will be required within 24 hours of notification. Details of the winners will be posted on the Promoter’s website ( on Friday 22nd March 2019.

    If the winners:
    (a) cannot be contacted within 24 hours from the Winner Selection Date; or
    (b) are unable to collect the prize; or
    (c) cannot confirm travel details for themselves and guest within 24 hours of being notified;
    a redraw will take place at the Promoter’s offices, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on Thursday 21st March 2019 in accordance with clause 11. If a redraw is required, winner will be notified by phone or in writing on Thursday 21st March 2019. Details of the winner will be posted on the promoter website ( on Friday 22nd March 2019.
  12. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and for communication and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of providing The Prize(s). All entries become the property of The Promoter and may be used for communication and promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants consent to The Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as contemplated by this paragraph. By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing and communication purposes, they should contact The Promoter on the details set out in clause 2. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at includes details about how individuals can seek access to and correct their personal information and how they can make a privacy complaint.
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with or breaches these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of The Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions or whom engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of The Competition.
  14. If The Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of The Promoter, The Promoter reserves the rights, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel The Competition as appropriate.
  15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or The Prize(s) except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any re-scheduling of fixtures/event. Should a fixture be re-scheduled, the Promoter will endeavour to accommodate the winner to attend the re-scheduled fixture/event, but accepts no responsibility if this is not possible.
