Lost Super Competition – Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter, collection of personal information and prize form part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed
    acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2.  The competition is known as the ‘Lost Super Competition’ (The Competition). The Competition is promoted by Hostplus Pty Ltd ABN 79 008 634 704,
    AFSL No. 244392, RSEL No. L0000093, RSE No. R1000054, as Trustee for the Hostplus Superannuation Fund Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne
    Victoria 3000 Ph: 1300 467 875 (The Promoter).
  3. The Competition will be promoted via the Hostplus ‘Lost Super’ campaign channels including: Hostplus website (, member
    communications, online advertising, social media websites and other relevant channels. To enter members need to tick a box to Opt Out of becoming a
    Lost Member (as per the ATO definition during the campaign period via the Hostplus campaign page (accessible via the
    Hostplus homepage at between 10.00am Thursday 18 February and 5.00pm Friday 29 April 2016 (Competition Period) to enter.
  4. The Competition is open to all Hostplus members aged between 18 and 65 years of age who are Australian residents and who permanently opt-out of
    becoming a lost member via the Hostplus website page(accessible via the Hostplus homepage at during the campaign period.
    Employees (and their families) of the promoter are ineligible to enter the competition.
  5. If the member cannot for whatever reason permanently opt-out online via the Hostplus website (, members can call the Call Centre.
    The Hostplus Call Centre will be able to action and enter members over the phone. Incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible entries will be deemed
    invalid. Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform The Promoter if
    their personal details change prior to the Winner Selection Date. Entry is free.
  6. Entrants may only enter the Competition once.
  7. The Competition will be drawn at the Promoter’s offices, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on Monday 2 May 2016 at 12.00pm (Winner
    Selection Date). The winners will be selected by a random electronic draw. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The winner will be notified in writing and by phone on or before Tuesday 10 May 2016. Details of the winner will be posted on the Promoter’s website
    ( on Friday 13 May 2016.
    If the winner:
    1. cannot be contacted within three months from the Winner Selection Date; or
    2. the winner is unable to collect the prize; 
      a redraw will take place at the Promoter’s offices, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on Monday 15 August 2016 at 12.00pm in accordance with clause 7. If a redraw is required, winner will be notified in writing on Tuesday 16 August. Details of the winner will be posted on the promoter website ( one week later on Monday 22 August 2016.
  9. Each winner will win the following prize:
     1 x Hoyts Black Movie cards – entitles winner to free general admission movies at any Hoyts cinema in Australia for 12 months (from date of activation as agreed). $1,000

    TOTAL prize pool (5 x Hoyts Black Movie cards)  Up to $5,000
    All other costs and expenses other that those set out above are to be borne by the winners.
  10. Prize values are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize. The Prize is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered.
  11. In the event that the prize or part of the prize is unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various Lottery Departments.
  12. As Hoyts are not available in NT or TAS, winners can nominate a family member or a friend that live outside of NT or TAS to be the recipient of their prize. To complete the prize transfer, full details, authorisation and photograph will be required.
  13. The (Prize) will be delivered to the nominated address of the prize winner, within 7 working days of the winner claiming the prize. Delivery of the prize is valid to any state and/or city in Australia.
  14. The promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any late lost or misdirected mail (including but not limited to prizes).
  15. The promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any prize damaged in transit in the delivery of the prize.
  16. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and for communication and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of providing the Prize. All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used for communication and promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants consent to the Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as contemplated by this paragraph. By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing and communication purposes, they should contact the Promoter on the details set out in clause 2. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at includes details about how individuals can seek access to and correct their personal information and how they can make a privacy complaint.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with or breaches these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions or whom engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition.
  18. If The Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition as appropriate.
  19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or the Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
