March into Merivale | Coogee Foreshore Festival – Terms and Conditions.

  1. Information on how to enter, collection of personal information and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry. 
  2. The competition is known as the Hostplus Ticket Give Away | Coogee Foreshore Festival (The Competition). The Competition will be promoted by Host-Plus Pty Ltd ABN 79 008 634 704, AFSL No. 244392, RSEL No. L0000093, RSE No. R1000054, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000 Ph: 1300 467 875 (The Promoter). 
  3. The Competition will be promoted on Facebook between 7PM on Thursday, 10 March, 2016 and 3PM on Thursday, 17 March, 2016 (Competition Period). 
  4. The Competition is only open to Hostplus members residing in NSW. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and companies associated with this promotion, including any prize providers, are ineligible to enter. 
  5. To enter The Competition, entrants must enter via a link advertised on Facebook, and state in 25 words or less why they would like to attend the event during the Competition Period. Incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform The Promoter if their personal details change prior to the Winner Selection Date. Entry is free.
  6. Entrants may only enter The Competition once. 
  7. The prizes to be won are five (5) sets of 2 tickets to the Coogee Foreshore Festival (total of 10 tickets), as part of the March Into Merivale event, held on Sunday, 20 March, 2016 from 11 AM to 5 PM (The Prizes). Hostplus is not liable to provide any form of transport, accommodation, or any other cost associated with the Event. The Prizes are valued at $45.00 per ticket, a total of $450.00 for the prize pool:

    Prize values are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of The Prizes. The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered. 
  8. The Competition will be judged on 18 March, 2016 at 10.00 AM (Winner Selection Date). [Game of skill –This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. Each entry will be judged according to its merits on the basis of a creative and meaningful entry, as determined by The Promoter in its sole discretion. Each Entrant warrants that their entry they submit is an original work of the entrant which does not infringe any rights of any third party. A breach of the warranty set out in this clause will result in the entrant’s entry being invalid. In addition, each entrant indemnifies The Promoter against all loss, damages and costs incurred by The Promoter arising from that entrant’s breach of the warranty set out in this clause. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All prizes will be judge on this date and at this time.
  9. Winners will be notified via email (which will be needed to complete their entry) by 12 PM on Friday, 18th March, 2016. The winners will receive the tickets (Prizes) in this email. No other winners will be chosen upon selection of the original winners. 
  10. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and for communication and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of providing The Prize(s). All entries become the property of The Promoter and may be used for communication and promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants consent to The Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as contemplated by this paragraph. By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing and communication purposes, they should contact The Promoter on the details set out in clause 2. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at includes details about how individuals can seek access to and correct their personal information and how they can make a privacy complaint. 
  11. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with or breaches these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that The Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of The Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions or whom engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of The Competition. 
  12. If The Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of The Promoter, The Promoter reserves the rights, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel The Competition as appropriate. 
  13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or The Prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any re-scheduling of fixtures/event. Should a fixture be re-scheduled, the Promoter will endeavour to accommodate the winner to attend the re-scheduled fixture/event, but accepts no responsibility if this is not possible. 
  14. No permit is required for The Competition.
