True wealth isn't just about how much money you have. It's also about the personal value you place on your lifestyle, now and in retirement.
To build true wealth takes time and effort. There are plenty of options to help you boost your savings, from making extra contributions to your super, to implementing a financial plan to guide your investment choices.
No matter how big or small your goals, good advice is the best place to start.
Learning about building wealth with Hostplus is easy. We offer our members a range of resources, including seminars and sessions, educational materials and more.
Getting the right information to inform your financial choices is important. That’s why we offer our members an initial appointment with a financial planner licensed by Industry Fund Services Limited (IFS) ABN 54 007 016 195, AFSL 232514 to help you explore wealth-building opportunities, at no additional cost to you.

The financial planners are Authorised Representatives of Industry Fund Services Limited (IFS) ABN 54 007 016 195, AFSL 232514. The financial planners are salaried Hostplus employees, and do not receive commissions.
Step 1: Preparation
Make your appointment with a financial planner. Find all of your financial documents and have them ready.
Step 2: Your initial appointment
Your initial appointment is about getting to know you and understanding your individual goals and objectives. Once your planner understands the type of advice you need and are confident that they can help you they'll explain the financial planning process including any costs involved in preparing personal advice for you.
Step 3: Advice presentation meeting
Your financial planner will explain the recommendations that have been developed to meet your goal and objectives. At this meeting, we encourage you to ask questions to ensure you feel comfortable with the advice.
Your financial plan may include:
Step 4: Take action
When you’re happy with the proposal, your financial planner will help you make it happen.
Step 5: Reviewing your plan
It's important to make sure your plan keeps up with the changes in your lifestyle, legislation and your personal circumstances to ensure you stay on track to achieve your goals. A financial planner can help you review your financial plan when it suits you and just like your initial appointment they’ll discuss any costs involved in preparing advice for you.
Members who choose to engage the services of a financial planner, will receive a fixed quote before proceeding with personal advice services. This quote will be provided once the planner has understood and agreed with your specific advice requirements.
These fees are only deducted when you seek advice and provide approval of the deduction on an ‘as needed’ basis.
Fees may be subject to change and, if so, you will be advised when you seek financial planning advice.
As a Hostplus member you can pay these advice fees directly from your superannuation account, if superannuation related financial advice only.
The planners are located across Australia and if you can’t make it into one of our offices for an appointment, they may be able to come to you.
