Meet the Trainers.

  • John Vickery

    John has been an integral member of Richmond’s football department, for almost two decades.

    The father of Tigers’ key forward Ty, John has worked as the Club’s boxing, weights and rehabilitation coach, as well as match-day interchange steward, during his time at Tigerland.

    Vickery also has vast experience in training world champion boxers, Australian tennis players and Victorian cricketers.

  • Dene Rodger

    VFL Strength and Conditioning Assistant

    Dene Rodger spent the last twelve months working with Richmond Football Club’s VFL team as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
    Dene oversaw the club’s GPS system, provided match day data on player game time and assisted with players’ strength programs in the gym, conditioning programs in training and rehabilitation.

  • Kylie Andrew

    BSc, M. Nut. & Diet, APD Sports Dietitian

    Kylie Andrew is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, with a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Deakin University.  She has also completed the Sports Dietitians Australia course in Sports Nutrition and is an Accredited Sports Dietitian.

    Kylie is currently the Nutrition Co-ordinator at the Victorian Institute of Sport and specifically works with the VIS Gymnastics, Diving, Netball, Sailing, Swimming, Triathlon and Track & Field programs.  Kylie is also the Dietitian for the Melbourne Vixens Netball Team and Richmond Football Club.

    She has worked as a consultant Sports Dietitian in private practice and with a number of sporting organisations for over 20 years.
