This announcement follows on from a year in which Hostplus’ Balanced (MySuper) option delivered a net return of 21.32%1, the option’s best result in its 32-year history. The Fund’s recent results also saw nine out of ten Hostplus members invested in options that delivered their best ever single-year return during the 2020-21 financial year2.
APRA’s performance test places greater emphasis on a fund’s longer-term results. With this in mind, Hostplus’ MySuper Balanced option has also been ranked by independent researcher SuperRatings as one of the top 3 default options over rolling 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 year periods1.
Confirmation from APRA today of Hostplus’ pass mark is a further indicator that the Fund is achieving its longer-term net benefit investment outcomes in its flagship MySuper Balanced option. Hostplus’ low administration fee has also contributed to this result.
