Cam Smith's best moment - Terms and conditions

  1. Information on how to enter, collection of personal information and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2. The competition is known as the Cam Smith’s best moment (The Competition). The Competition will be promoted by HOSTPLUS Pty Ltd ABN 79 008 634 704, AFSL No. 244392, RSEL No. L0000093, RSE No. R1000054, Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 Ph: 1300 467 875 (The Promoter).
  3. The Competition will be promoted on the Hostplus Facebook page, a Hostplus eDM to a segment of the Hostplus membership, a bespoke Hostplus webpage, the Melbourne Storm Facebook page and the Melbourne Storm Instagram account between Friday 5th July, 10am and Monday 8th July at 11.59pm (Competition Period).
  4. The Competition is open to Hostplus members who reside in Victoria only. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and companies associated with this promotion, including any prize providers, are ineligible to enter.
  5. To enter The Competition, entrants must visit the bespoke Hostplus webpage and complete all details – First Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email Address and answer a question as to “What’s your favourite Cam Smith moment?” - during the Competition Period. Incomplete, indecipherable, or ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform The Promoter if their personal details change prior to the Winner Selection Date. Entry is free.
  6. Entrants may only enter The Competition once.
  7. The prizes to be won are two (2) tickets to the Melbourne Storm v Cronulla Sharks NRL Fixture, Saturday 13th July at AAMI Park, Melbourne (The Prizes). All other associated costs, including but not limited to transport to and from the event, food & beverages, etc are at the expense of the winners.

    There will be 500 winners in total, 1,000 tickets available. The Prizes are valued at $15,000 excluding GST.

    Prize values are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any variation in the value of The Prizes. The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or kind and must be taken as offered.

  8. The Competition will be judged on Tuesday 9th July (Winner Selection Date). Game of skill –This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. Each entry will be judged according to its merits based on factual correctness and creativity as determined by The Promoter in its sole discretion. Each Entrant warrants that their entry they submit is an original work of the entrant which does not infringe any rights of any third party. A breach of the warranty set out in this clause will result in the entrant’s entry being invalid. In addition, each entrant indemnifies The Promoter against all loss, damages and costs incurred by The Promoter arising from that entrant’s breach of the warranty set out in this clause]. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. Winners will be notified in writing (an eDM sent from Hostplus to the email address provided at the time of entry) and names of winners published on the Hostplus website ( on Thursday 11th July.
  10. The Prizes will be available for collection from 5.30pm on Saturday 13th July 2019 at the Melbourne Storm marquee, next to box office E window 32 – clearly signed “ticket collection”.
  11. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and for communication and promotional purposes. The Promoter may disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of providing The Prizes. All entries become the property of The Promoter and may be used for communication and promotional purposes without further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants consent to The Promoter’s use and disclosure of information about them as contemplated by this paragraph. By entering the competition, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants do not consent to their details being used for future marketing and communication purposes, they should contact The Promoter on the details set out in clause 2.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with or breaches these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that The Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of The Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from a person whom is in breach of these conditions or whom engages in any unlawful or improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of The Competition.
  13. If The Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of The Promoter, The Promoter reserves the rights, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel The Competition as appropriate.
  14. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss and including equipment/communications line/telephone/mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access (including by electronic means) to or alteration of entries) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any entry or The Prize(s) except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Where prize is tickets to event – The Promoter is not responsible for any re-scheduling of fixtures/event. Should a fixture be re-scheduled, the Promoter will endeavour to accommodate the winner to attend the re-scheduled fixture/event but accepts no responsibility if this is not possible.
  15. Should Cam Smith not play his 400th game of NRL against the Sharks at AAMI Park, Melbourne on Saturday 13th July, this competition will be cancelled with no compensation from the Promoter to any competition entrants.
  16. The competition is open to VIC residents only.
  17. The competition is a game of skill; therefore, no permits are required.
