Our innovative investment platform, Choiceplus, recently added green options for members to invest in. The new exchange traded funds (ETFs) mean members can choose to invest in platforms that support green energy and climate change solutions.

Choiceplus is for members who want a more active role in investing and managing their superannuation or pension. Members can invest directly in assets like Australian shares, select ETFs, listed investment companies (LICs) or term deposits.1 The platform works like a self-managed super fund (SMSF), without the high cost and administrative burden associated with an SMSF.

In August 2022, we added the following options to the list of ETFs available to Choiceplus members:

VanEck Global Clean Energy (CLNE)

CLNE provides targeted exposure to some of the world’s largest companies in the clean energy sector.  As the world continues to move away from fossil fuels, clean energy presents a long-term growth opportunity.

BetaShares Climate Change Innovation (ERTH)

ERTH offers a portfolio of around 100 leading global companies that are helping to address climate change. This includes clean energy, green transport, waste management and energy efficiency.

We base the Choiceplus ETFs on recommendations from Lonsec Research Pty Ltd. Lonsec Research is an independent, specialist research house. We’re pleased to give our Choiceplus members more investment choice. And we’ll continue to review and add to the available options in future.
