If you have more than one super account, it might be time to combine them. Discover the benefits of having your super in one account.
Combining, or ‘consolidating’, your super accounts means bringing multiple super accounts together into one account.
If you’ve changed jobs or addresses during your career, you may have ended up with multiple super accounts. You’re not alone – millions of Australians do too.
If you do find yourself with multiple super fund accounts, combining them into one single Hostplus account may provide a host of positives.
Multiple super accounts mean multiple sets of fees. Reducing the fees you pay helps to maximise the amount you can invest and, depending on your situation, may help you save on insurance premiums too. Did you know that Hostplus has one of the lowest admin fees out of any MySuper product?1
Combining your super into one account may reduce the amount of time you spend managing your super, saving you time as well as money. And with less time on paperwork, you’ve got more time for the things that really matter to you.
Many people have unclaimed super and they don’t even know it! If you’ve switched jobs, forgotten to update your account details, or changed your name or address, you may have some lost super waiting to be found. If you decide to combine your super through Member Online, you'll be able to search for any lost super linked to your tax file number as part of the process.
1. Other fees and costs apply. Refer to the relevant PDS for more information, available at hostplus.com.au/pds. Hostplus Balanced (MySuper) investment option compared to SuperRatings fee data for public offer MySuper products extracted from SMART platform on 22 January 2026. Comparison is based on the total administration fees and costs assuming a $50k account balance.
Before combining, compare the fees, performance and other features of each fund and check whether you’ll lose any benefits or be charged a fee for closing an account. Importantly, if you do close an account, you’ll lose any insurance attached to that account. If you have insurance cover with another super fund, you may be able to transfer that cover to Hostplus. To find out if you're eligible or to learn more, visit our Transfer your cover to Hostplus page.
You may find it beneficial to obtain advice from a licensed financial adviser. Our advice team can guide you to the right advice based on your needs.
If you decide combining your accounts is right for you, there are a few ways to do so.
You can use Member Online to search for your other super using your tax file number, so you don’t need to track down fund names or member numbers yourself.
You’ll need to know the name of your other super funds and associated member numbers.
