Supporting
our members

Every member’s situation is different. At some point in your life you might be faced with difficult challenges. You're not alone. Everyone struggles at times with their health, wellbeing, or financial situation.

As a super fund, one of  our responsibilities is to help support you on your journey to retirement.

Why you might
need support

You might find yourself in a vulnerable situation for many reasons. These reasons may be temporary or ongoing, may occur gradually or suddenly, and may relate to single or multiple factors.

You might need support because of:

  • health conditions – mental health concerns, disabilities, accidents, injuries, and ageing can leave some people vulnerable
  • natural disasters
  • family violence
  • relationship breakdown
  • grief and bereavement
  • isolation
  • difficulty with comprehension, reading and writing
  • financial problems.

There could be another reason for needing help that’s not listed here.

How we can help

At Hostplus, we’re committed to recognising and helping support our members experiencing vulnerability. Our employees receive dedicated training on these matters, so they’re equipped to support members’ unique situations and circumstances.

The support we can offer you ranges from simple help with your account, to assisting you with insurance claims, complaints, and applying for early access to your super. Our specialist teams will work with you to help ensure that the process is easy and you’re supported from start to finish.

You can contact us for support in the following ways:

If you'd prefer that we call you, please provide your contact details in an email or live chat, along with your preferred time for us to call.

You can also nominate anyone to talk to Hostplus on your behalf, as long as you authorise them over the phone or in writing. Please note they won’t be able to make changes to your account.
