The Hostplus mobile application ('app') is an internet-based facility made available to all Hostplus members. It is provided by Host-Plus Pty Limited ABN 79 008 634 704, AFSL 244392 ('Hostplus', 'we') as trustee for the Hostplus Superannuation Fund ABN 68 657 495 890, MySuper No 68 657 495 890 198 (the 'Fund'), Level 9, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. The following terms and conditions apply to your use of the app ('Terms').
The future performance of the Fund and our investment strategies are not guaranteed. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance and should never be the sole factor considered when selecting a superannuation fund.

The app allows you to store your username, so you are not required to input it each time you log in. You acknowledge that by enabling this feature, you understand the risks associated with storing your username in the app. You are responsible for safeguarding the device that you use to access the app. While we have implemented security features into the app, we cannot guarantee the privacy, security and integrity of the app or any information entered by you on your device including the normal functions of using the app. We will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of any issues arising from the storing of your username on the app.
We use multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocols for information security purposes. MFA is a globally recognised security protocol.
In using MFA:
If you have a compatible iPhone, Android or Windows mobile device, you may choose to enable biometric authentication, to log in to the app and confirm your identity using a biometric identifier registered on your mobile device instead of your email address/account number and password. A biometric identifier includes a fingerprint or facial data by which a mobile device manufacturer allows a user to authenticate their identity to unlocking their mobile device. Hostplus does not collect or store your biometric identifier, which is stored within your mobile device.
Important: If you enable or use a biometric identifier to access the app, you must ensure that your biometric identifier is the only biometric identifier stored on the mobile device you use to access the app. If another person has stored their biometric identifier on the mobile device you use to access the app, you acknowledge that they may be able to access your accounts, including to view and conduct certain actions on the app, and these actions will be treated as having been authorised by you and conducted with your knowledge and consent.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision imposes any material burden on you or causes you any material disadvantage, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice (via a push notification) prior to any new terms and conditions taking effect.
It is your sole responsibility to periodically check these Terms for any changes. If you do not agree with any of the changes to these Terms, you must stop using the app. Your continued use of the app after any change will be deemed as your acceptance of these Terms as amended.
You agree to indemnify us and our successors and assigns for all damages, costs, expenses and other liabilities (including but not limited to legal fees and expenses) relating to any claim arising out of or related to your access to and use of the app or your breach of these Terms.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for all direct, indirect or consequential liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, downtime costs, loss of profit, loss of or damage to reputation, loss under or in relation to any other contract, loss of data, loss of use of data or loss of anticipated savings or benefits), whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, suffered or incurred by any person arising out of:
(i) your use of the app, including (without limitation) any copying, distribution, or downloading of information accessible via the app, and including (without limitation) in connection with any disruption to or unavailability or failure of the app or as a result of any fraudulent or illegal use of the app by any third party
(ii) arising from any circumstance beyond our control, or
(iii) these Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the app immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including (without limitation) if you breach any of these terms.
We may also change all or part of the app (including the availability of any feature or content) or suspend access to the app at any time for any reason, and impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to all or part of the app, without having to give you notice.
All provisions of these terms which by their nature should survive termination will survive termination of your use of the app (whether we terminate your access or you discontinue using the app and delete it from your device).
The content of this app has been prepared for residents of Australia and as a result, all currency references are shown in Australian dollars. The app may be accessed throughout Australia and overseas. If you access the app outside of Australia, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with the laws in each country you access the app. We do not accept any liability for accessing the app outside of Australia.
These Terms are governed, and are to be construed, in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any failure by us to enforce any right under, or provision of, these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision, or part of any provision, of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, that provision (or that part of a provision) may be severed from these terms and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app, and supersede and replace any prior or subsequent agreements (whether in writing or verbal) between you and us regarding the app.
