It’s just one of the ways we’ve improved our direct investment option for Choiceplus members.

We’re proud that Choiceplus is a low-cost option for members who want to take a more active role in the investment and management of their super or pension.1

Choiceplus gives you the ability to invest in shares in the S&P/ASX 300 Index. There’s also a range of ETFs, listed investment companies (LICs), and term deposits to choose from.

Why we’ve added more ETFs to Choiceplus

We’re pleased to give our members more investment choice. We regularly review the options available to you on our Choiceplus platform. This is part of our ongoing due diligence and member focus.

The new ETF additions to Choiceplus provide you with greater options for diversification. They provide more exposure across property, infrastructure, technology and commodities.

What are the new ETF additions to Choiceplus?

On 4 August 2023, we added the following options to the list of ETFs available to Choiceplus members. You’ll notice that the new options employ a passive investment strategy. This can be a low-cost way of investing in shares or bonds. A passive option typically invests in all available shares within a category, rather than spending time (and money) researching which companies might outperform.

A200 - BetaShares Australia 200 ETF

BetaShares uses a passive investment strategy to manage this ETF. It's made up of the 200 largest ASX-listed stocks.

ATEC: BetaShares S&P/ASX Australian Technology ETF

BetaShares uses a passive investment strategy to manage this ETF. It provides exposure to market leading ASX-listed technology and technology-related companies.

ACDC: Global X Battery Tech & Lithium ETF

With a passive investment strategy, this ETF aims to provide exposure to the energy storage and production 'megatrend'. It includes companies involved in the supply chain and production for battery technology and lithium mining.

MVA: VanEck Australian Property ETF

VanEck uses a passive investment strategy in managing this property ETF. It provides exposure to ASX-listed stocks that are structured as Australian Real Estate Investment Trusts (A-REITs).

REIT: VanEck FTSE International Property (Hedged) ETF

Using a passive investment strategy, this ETF aims to provide investors with a diversified exposure to global listed property securities.

VBLD: Vanguard Global Infrastructure Index ETF

Vanguard uses a passive investment strategy in managing this ETF. It’s designed to provide exposure to listed global infrastructure securities across developed markets.

ETPMAG: Global X Physical Silver

Using a passive investment strategy, this ETF gives low-cost exposure to silver without having to hold, trade and store physical silver.
