What is the Hostplus digital member card?

Take your Hostplus member details with you, wherever you go, using the digital wallet on your smartphone. With Apple Wallet for iPhone (iOS9+) and PassWallet for Android, you’ll never misplace your Hostplus details again.

  • Makes taking Hostplus to your new job even easier. Use your member card to send an email to your new employer with everything they’ll need to start paying into your Hostplus  account.

What is Apple Wallet?

Apple Wallet is an application developed by Apple, which is available for devices running iOS9 or above. For more information regarding Apple Wallet, please view Apple’s website here.

Apple Wallet is available for iPhone® or iPod touch® users using iOS 9 or above.

What is PassWallet?

PassWallet is an Android application available for download via Google Play. It provides access to Passbook (.pkpass) files on most Android phones. For more information on PassWallet visit the Google Play app page here.

How do I add a card to my phone?

  • You can download your member card onto your phone by clicking here and verifying your email or mobile number as previously provided to Hostplus 
  • Once we’ve verified your details, we will provide you a link to download your member card
  • iPhone users with iOS 9+ can add the card directly to Apple Wallet by clicking the link in the message
  • Android users will need to download the PassWallet from Google Play then add the card by clicking the link in the message.

What If I’ve downloaded the card on my Android phone that doesn’t have PassWallet?

  • Go to the Google Play store to download and install PassWallet
  • When you open PassWallet for the first time, it offers you to scan your device for passes
  • Accept and you Hostplus member card will automatically be added to your PassWallet

How do I delete the digital member card from my iPhone?

On iPhone: Open your DMC and click the “i” icon to reveal the “back” of the card. Then, tap the “Trash” icon in the upper left hand corner. Your DMC will then be deleted from Apple Wallet.

On Android: Open your Pass and tap the “Trash” icon in the bottom left hand corner. Your Pass will then be deleted from Passbook.

I have a lost or stolen device, is there a risk?

The information contained in your member card cannot be used to access details of your Hostplus account. Our contact centre requires you to verify your details before accessing your information. The account balance checker function on your card requires you to enter some personal information before displaying your information.

My full name isn’t appearing on my DMC– is there something wrong?

No, your DMC was downloaded successfully. Unfortunately, due to character limitations within Apple Wallet and PassWallet some names may be truncated when they appear on the front of the DMC.

I have downloaded my card, but it is not showing in Apple Wallet?

When download is completed, your card will appear on your screen. You'll need to click on the 'Add" button in the top right corner of the screen. This will ensure that the card is available whenever you click the Apple Wallet icon.

I’m a Hostplus Pension member; can I download my digital member card?

At this stage the digital member cards are only available for members of the Hostplus Superannuation products. We will be making this card available for Pension members as soon as possible.

Can I give my BPAY® details to my employer?

The BPAY® details on the card are for making additional personal contributions only. If you would like your employer to start making contributions to your Hostplus  account, please use the email functionality on the back of the card to send your Hostplus  account details directly to your employer via email.
