We're continually enhancing our digital tools and services to make it easier for advisers and support staff to do business with Hostplus.
From improvements to Adviser Online through to updates to Member Online and the Hostplus app, these enhancements are designed to reduce administration, streamline key processes and make it easier to support your clients.
Adviser Online updates
You can now submit advice fee requests directly through Adviser Online, reducing paperwork and helping streamline the administration process.
Advisers can:
- lodge requests for one-off advice fees and fixed-term fee arrangements online
- enable clients to securely authorise fee requests via SMS and email
- reduce reliance on paper forms and manual processing.
For most members, advice fee requests can now be lodged through Adviser Online. The paper Advice Fee Consent form is only available for defined benefit members or in exceptional circumstances where the digital process cannot be followed, at the Trustee's discretion. Advisers requiring access to the paper form should contact their Business Development Manager or Adviser Services on 1300 366 974.
You can now upload forms and documents for processing and review straight into the administration queue. Documents are loaded to the member's record and are visible to both the adviser and the member through their online access.
To use this service, make sure you have an active Third Party Authority (TPA) in place for your clients and are registered for Adviser Online. We've also developed helpful tips and FAQs on how to use the document upload function.
As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting member and adviser data, we've introduced multi-factor authentication (MFA) for Adviser Online.
What you need to do
If you haven't done so already, download a suitable authenticator app on your mobile device. We recommend Okta Verify, but you can also use Google Authenticator, which can be downloaded from the App Store, or Google Play. An authenticator app is required to gain access to Adviser Online.
If you need help setting up MFA, visit our technical support page for step-by-step guidance and answers to common questions.

You can now set up a Third Party Authority (TPA) for Hostplus members through Adviser Online. Eligible members must be aged 18 or over and have both an email address and mobile number on record.
Lodging a TPA request via Adviser Online simplifies the process for both advisers and clients, while digital authorisation helps reduce turnaround times. Importantly, you no longer need to list individual names and job titles for staff members authorised to obtain client information on your behalf. Your valid TPA can extend to any authorised staff member within your practice.
Digital TPAs for non-accumulation members can be lodged by an adviser, however only limited information is available through Adviser Online. We recommend contacting our contact centre for assistance with these members.
For circumstances where the digital process isn't suitable, advisers can continue to use the hard-copy TPA form. Download the TPA form here.
Support staff can now have their own Adviser Online login, allowing them to securely access the portal and manage client-related tasks independently.
With direct access, they can:
- generate client reports to support advice preparation
- access information quickly and securely
- reduce administrative bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
You can now submit member and adviser forms that have been digitally signed, making it faster and easier to complete key transactions without printing, scanning or posting paperwork.
What this means for you
- We accept digital signatures from all major platforms, including DocuSign and AdobeSign.
- Forms must be accompanied by the relevant audit certificate and be uploaded via Adviser Online.
- The only exception is the binding death benefit nomination form, which still requires a wet signature.
We've introduced a new way to capture adviser attestations directly through Adviser Online, supporting Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) requirements and creating a clearer, more consistent process. This update also helps reduce duplication and makes it easier to stay compliant.
How it works
- Advisers accept DDO requirements when registering for Adviser Online via the terms and conditions.
- Each year, on your 12‑month anniversary, you’ll be prompted to complete your DDO attestation.
- Advisers and support staff with outstanding DDO attestations will be temporarily restricted from accessing member data until completed.
Great news! You can now access Hostplus Self-Managed Invest (SMI) via Netwealth’srecently launched non-custodial asset administration service.

The service alsomeans no more manual data entry or multiple logins. You and your clients alsoget to see all your investment valuations and transaction listings in oneplace, via the Netwealth portal.

Member Online updates
Hostplus "Notice of intent to claim a tax deduction" (NOITC) form is now available digitally through Member Online.
Members can now submit a Notice of Intent to Claim a Tax Deduction (NOITC), or variation of NOITC, through Member Online, enabling straight-through processing for valid submissions and reducing the need for manual intervention.
Members simply log in to Member Online, navigate to Super in the top menu and select Claim a Tax Deduction. Once we've confirmed the claim has been accepted, the member can then complete their tax return.
The online solution allows members to:
- view the amount of personal contributions made in current and previous financial years
- view/infrom the amount available to claim
- view any previous claims already lodged
- submit a new NOITC
- vary a previously lodged NOITC.
Members who prefer a paper-based process can still download and complete the NOITC form.
