The Rainmaker SelectingSuper Investment Leadership award recognises one Australian super fund for their long term performance, outstanding communication to members and their unique approach to investments. Hostplus is proud to be SelectingSuper’s Investment Leader for 2016.
When presented with the award Hostplus CEO David Elia said ‘We are honoured to win this award on the back of the strong returns we were able to communicate with our members in their statements delivered to them recently. These results are a tribute to Chief Investment Officer, Dr Sam Sicilia and his team as they strive every day to find the best investments in Australia and overseas.
‘Importantly, the award is also a tribute to our membership. We have a high percentage of young members which enables Sam and the team to invest for the long term. And the results are apparent.’
For the financial year ended 30 June 2016, the Hostplus Balanced MySuper option delivered a 5.0% return to members against an industry median of 2.81% according to the SuperRatings SR50 Balanced Performance survey.
With top quartile results over 3, 5, 7 and 10 years Hostplus’ position as a top performer in the industry has never been more apparent*.
