Share markets delivered solid returns over the calendar year, with some ups and downs along the way. US shares surged by more than 20%, while Aussie shares also rallied, returning over 11% for the year.

Hostplus’ Balanced option is still a top performer over 10 years.
Our Balanced option, the most popular option for Hostplus pension members1, returned 11.43% over the year. All other pre-mixed options delivered positive returns as well, with Indexed Balanced returning 15.71%.2
